Kyle here LIVE from the Consumer Electronic Show (#CES) in Las Vegas ladies and gentleman. This year’s 2012 International CES is my very first, and will not be my last. What an amazing show. The press room has been loaded all day with people sharing details about this year’s some 20,000 new products being launched and over 37 football fields worth of exhibit space featuring some of the top companies.

These days we rarely find startups or mobile applications being built to focus on the progression of a children abilities for learning and their growth of a wider knowledge based from a younger age. Go Go Mongo, steps into that realm and has helped children learn about healthy eating. They’ve creatively done this with making a game that’s simple and fun that has children wanting to learn and eat cauliflower.

Los Angeles’s premier online marketplace for musicians, Hello Music, launched their mobile application last week. The new iPhone app provides instant access to all the deals on the best instruments, gear, and services. As a musician, you’re always out. Whether you’re on the open road touring the country for your latest show.

It’s always interesting to see how we’ve progressed over the years in industry. The most rapid of those industry’s being technology. Over the last 15 years we’ve seen a surge of industry and even overall life changes that have come from the tech space.

Brandon Hance, Founder and CEO of Los Angeles based GoodThreads, went through college as a student athlete playing football for USC while studying business. Soon into college realized that he didn’t want a career as a professional athlete and instead quickly caught the entrepreneur/startup bug. That little bug took Brandon for an exciting ride in the world of business.

Today marks another great day for the Los Angeles startup scene as Hello Music, a portfolio company of the Elevator Labs, has reached a major membership milestone – 100,000 active members. This is a monumental milestone for the musician-focused marketplace. The company was founded in 2010 and has since been on the rise offering a digital marketplace full of opportunities for musicians all around the world. In 2011 Hello Music became the fastest growing musician-focused company in the U.S thanks the to 42% month-over-month growth.
