Microsoft in December 2011 it released SkyDrive apps for Windows and iPhone. The two mobile apps have been used by almost 4 million people according to Microsoft. Four million is pretty impressive for two apps in just 8 months, however Microsoft is aiming higher; with expectations of SkyDrive serving a billion people or even more.

Who doesn’t like to save a little dough on texting? Well for those with limited texting plans anyway. The Hallo app from Developer Hallo, Inc. will allow you to do just that and much more. Compatible with the iOS and Android Hallo allows you to send quick voice messages privately to individuals and groups or publicly to followers within the app as well as to Facebook and Twitter.

Today Chris Jones,Microsoft Windows Live VP has unveiled what he says is a modern email for the next billion mailboxes.

This morning Dustin Moskovitz announced that Asana had got a $28 million investment from Peter Thiel and Founders Fund. Welcoming Thiel to their Board of Directors.
Moskovitz said they have admired and respected Founders Fund and loved their commitment to building teams to improve lives.

On Tuesday PayPal acquired card.io, a smartphone credit card scanner.
According to Hill Ferguson, VP Global Product PayPal, card.io will integrate its credit card information capturing technology to PayPal’s mobile wallet. The payment details were not made public.
