Techzulu live-streamed the famous six-minute presentations of Palm Desert.  This year 39 companies were on stage and over the course of 2 days we had over 120,000 viewers watching on Techzulu Live.  The Demo "winners" historically are chosen by a select elite.  We wanted to see what the viewers had to say.demo09a

We questioned the following:

  • the Team, the Product, the Market
  • Would you invest?
  • Would you buy the product?
  • Additional comments

and...

Gold Star for Smartycard [watch the video]

"The market for SmartyCard is well defined, these guys have picked up on it and have come to the table with a product that should do well in this space."

"it's refreshing to see a company that's creating innovative ways to make games for children more than something that wastes time."

"This looked like a really good way to handle a kid's allowance, when compared to just handing them some money and setting them loose"

Silver Star for Ontier [watch the video]

"I do much of my business with offshore resources. Many of my specifications are communicated via recordings. Pixatell is by far a more collaborative product which enables a faster response and feedback loop from my contractors."

"Excellent product idea and beautiful user interface. Very applicable."

"This is a great product! I would definitely use this and can see how this could be a real time saver!"

Bronze Star for Coveroo [watch the video]

"Coveroo has a fantastic product and even better customer service. I'll buy again."
"I love that coveroo offers changeable covers vs. having to engrave your phone itself. It makes it more of a cool, affordable bling option."

Honorable mentions for:

Avaak [watch the video]

"Incredibly innovative technology and design. This company is designing a product while keeping in mind the necessities of a modern digital age."

"This product is only limited by the imagination of its users."

"cool video product - i've been waiting for something like this for a long time. Look forward to trying it out."

Purewire [watch the video]

[Purewire scored very well, but no one commented!]

Note:  All of the results were sorted by IP and email addresses and suspicious entries removed.  The majority of almost 1,000 responses came from entrepreneurs and industry professionals.
