Many of us get that itch of becoming an entrepreneur. We get that spark in us, that light bulb idea that brings us into our dream world, day-dreaming and wondering, “What if?” What if we had a chance to actually build the next hot tech company? What if we find the right team with the right chemistry to build it? What if we get affirmation and validation from not only our peers, but from experts and maybe even potential investors that our ideas really have some legs in becoming something?

This month TechZulu is heading to Coloft in Santa Monica! Join us as we introduce you to featured faces and spaces across our great city, highlighting the many flavors of innovation that make up the LA tech ecosystem…plus plenty of free food and drinks.

Article after article points out that Los Angeles is on its way to becoming one of the most robust startup communities in the United States. Texting and driving has been taboo for over a decade since the ownership of mobile phones have continuously increased. According to surveys, over 100,000 car accidents a year are caused by a driver texting. Moreover, a recent AT&T Wireless survey suggests that 75% of teens consider it “common” for friends to text while driving.

From visualization to conception, and actually taking the product to market, a company usually takes about 1-2 years to create. We had exactly 54 hours! This story highlights my experience at the event as a participant.
