Teens In Tech Comes To LA | TZ Gets You In On The Cheap
After three years of being in Silicon Valley, the Teens in Tech Conference is expanding, and coming to Los Angeles! Join them on Saturday, December 17th, at Microsoft’s Los Angeles office for a conference all about youth, entrepreneurship, media, entertainment, startups, and more. Founder and CEO of Teens In Tech Daniel Brusilovsky was kind enough to offer up our readers 50% off any ticket price.
The Value Achieved Business Networking at Conferences
I have to admit when I first walked through the doors of the Los Angeles Convention Center to attend Blog World I asked myself why I was wasting my time. Yet “another networking event”. Haven’t I learned by now that it’s better to be disciplined, focused in my office, at the computer, than “on the go” in a daze at a conference. It almost felt like I was there merely out of habit having gone to numerous amounts of conferences over the years being a business owner.

Los Angeles Startup Weekend August 2011 | The Complete Breakdown
When tickets went on sale over a month ago, we expected the regular ticket sales cycle, however we were more than surprised when Startup Weekend LA sold out in 6 hours! That’s right… just about the same amount of time it takes to sell out a Radiohead show at the Forum. When LASW kicked off Friday evening at Coloft, we had over 100 on the wait list and countless requests from others to join the event — even folks sneaking in and pitching (without a ticket).
Female Founders and CEOs | Cameron Rasouli of CoLoft
I decide to start off these series of interviews highlighting some of the female founders and CEOs from around the country with Los Angeles’s own Cameron Kashani Rasouli of CoLoft. I’ve had the honor of knowing Cameron for quite sometime now and she’s a wonderful person. She’s also half of the team that built the ever growing Coloft in Santa Monica, CA. For those that are unfamiliar with the Coloft (you’ll learn a ton soon), it’s the premier co-working spot in the LA area (I say so). Now I’ll let the interview take it from here.
TaskRabbit Lets You Outsource Tasks To The Community
Let’s face it, a lot of us working professionals are extremely busy these days. Long hours at the office, quick work out at the gym and a few errands before stores close and before you know it, you haven’t eaten yet. Or you meet up with friends for some drinks after work and didn’t get a chance to pick up your clothes from the dry cleaners.
The Interaction of Our Lives | QR Codes and Augmented Reality
Our daily lives are filled with advertisements of the latest and greatest technologies offering to “change the way we live.” Today with such a low entry point, (thanks to the success of the Internet,) these technologies are coming in at a rapid pace. Recently we’ve begun to see the rapid adaptation of mobile applications and their defiance of technology’s limits. These applications have quickly become a part of our daily lives from booking airfare, to social media, to streaming content, etc. As we become more enthralled with the world of instantaneous, there are two pieces of growing technology that will offer us a bright and exciting future. QR codes and Augmented Reality.
