TaskRabbit150x150Let’s face it, a lot of us working professionals are extremely busy these days. Long hours at the office, quick work out at the gym and a few errands before stores close and before you know it, you haven’t eaten yet. Or you meet up with friends for some drinks after work and didn’t get a chance to pick up your clothes from the dry cleaners. Taskrabbit recognized these problems and sought out to solve them. Taskrabbit aims to help “individuals and small businesses in a community outsource their tasks and deliveries.”

How does it work? After you sign up for an account, you post a task that you need performed, the details of the task and the price you are willing to pay for it to be completed. You will then hear from a TaskRabbit who can help. They bid on your task and you choose from the best offer presented to you. Your task gets completed by the TaskRabbit and you pay them online. You also have the option to rate them if you’d like.

What kind of tasks can you post on TaskRabbit? The company has different kinds of people, called TaskRabbits, available for a range of tasks. While running typical errands are the most popular, TaskRabbit has runners available for coding, dog walking, moving help, even IKEA furniture assembly.

Who are these TaskRabbits and how are they selected? TaskRabbits represent a wide range of the local community and are selected based on location and availability. They are also background checked prior to being part of the TaskRabbit network.

TaskRabbit makes it easy for individuals to keep with their busy lives or businesses to save some money by outsourcing simple tasks. With that being said, more and more individuals are looking at details like the outsourcing statistics in the Philippines to finalize their outsourcing-related decisions. With TaskRabbit operating in San Francisco, Boston and recently opening operations in Los Angeles and Orange County, be sure to look out for TaskRabbit to expand to your city. Have you used TaskRabbit? Let us know what you think about their service in the comments.
