Apple fans, rejoice! On Monday, Apple unveiled the new 9.7-inch iPad pro and the newest iPhone SE. The newest iPhone SE is a throwback to older models due to it’s four-inch display yet combined with the power of the 64-bit A9 chip, which was introduced in the iPhone 6 and 6s Plus. This will come as a welcome surprise to any users who may have been at odds with the larger displays of the iPhones 6 and 6S. With the new iPhone come a boost in investor confidence with Apple shares jumping ahead of the iPhone announcement. Pricing starts at $399 and will be available for pre-order on March 24th, but will not start shipping until March 31st.
The 9.7-inch iPad pro is smaller than its predecessor yet Apple boasts that it delivers in all aspects: speed, connectivity and versatility. It features a new pro Retina® display which includes a new True Tone® to dynamically adjust white balance. In addition to this, the new iPad Pro has a 12-megapixel iSight camera as well as faster wireless making it suitable for business as well as leisure. The new iPad pro will be available to order on Thursday, March 24, from Apple.com as well as in retail stores with a starting price of $599.
Despite disappointment over the Apple Watch, Apple show no signs of withdrawing from the wearables market. According to CNN, Tim Cook announced a new line of Apple Watch straps which included woven nylon bands as well as sport and leather bands in several different colors. The Apple Watch is well known for having a high price – interestingly, Apple has dropped the price of the Apple watch which now starts at $299.
