Hands-On: Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
If you’re lovin’ on Android and want a smartphone that integrates your communication channels and media in one place, the new Sony Xperia X10 just may be for you. TechZulu got a sneak peak of the device at CES. Here are a few highlights.
Among the Xperia X10’s signature applications is Timescape, which conveniently puts your communication events (Twitter, Facebook, email, etc.) in a chronological deck of cards. The full touch screen lets you scroll up and down to select the event you want. Similarly, its second key feature – Mediascape – brings all of your pictures and videos in a unified view.
However, the coolest feature (in our opinion) is the Xperia X10’s ability to automatically organize and file contacts thanks to embedded face recognition technology.
Here are the notable specs:
- Android Operating System
- Wi-Fi enabled
- 4″ full touch screen
- 8.1 megapixel camera
- Face recognition technology
The MSRP has yet to be determined (check back during CTIA) but given the Xperia 10’s premium features, expect a similar pricetag.
