Mixergy’s Drinks 2.0 @ Blankspaces Sponsored by Originate Labs
July’s Drinks 2.0 event at the very popular tech hub for tech events, Blankspaces. This event was sponsored by the Originate Labs was yet another great event for Southern California’s tech scene. Who is Originate Labs? They are a venture resource and software development firm that works with existing companies and/or entrepreneurs to develop products to market quickly, efficiently and cost effectively.
The event was co-organized by Mixergy, a popular event invitation site. What made this event so great was the turn out of close to 200 attendees, where according to one startup entrepreneur said, “The quality of this event was different. I’m glad I came out to this event. I was gonna stay home and work.” Other notables that happened at the event was and update from the Schwaggin’ Wagon’s Michael Liskin asking anyone who may have schwag (i.e. T-shirts) that they don’t want to keep to donate that to charity. Sarah Lacy, who has a book out called “ONCE YOU’RE LUCKY, TWICE YOU’RE GOOD: The Rebirth of Silicon Valley and The Rise of Web 2.0” had a few words to say about what Silicon Valley thinks about L.A.’s tech scene. Overall, Mixergy and Originate Labs put on an awesome event. If you missed the event, check out our coverage here.
