AT&T Hackathon | Build an App to Disrupt Education
Gather all of your creative talents and get to hacking this Friday and Saturday, February 8-9 on what might just be the most viable, essential and disruptive focus of any hackathon…… education. Organized by developer evangelist, Alex Donn of the AT&T Developer Program in coordination with Real Office Centers and AT&T Aspire, this hackathon invites attendees including students, teachers, developers, and designers to build apps and mobile apps that will disrupt education.
According to a global report by education firm Pearson, US ranks 17th in the developed world for education. Finland and South Korea made the top list for the best education system, followed by Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore. Indeed, creating an app that could essentially disrupt the education status quo can be a great influence in raising the bar for the US education system.
Participants will keep 100% of what they build. Also, $9,000 will be given away to local education charities on behalf of the top 3 teams.
