Colonial Parking Partners With ParkMe To Introduce Personalised Smart Parking In Washington DC
Washington DC’s Colonial Parking has today partnered with ParkMe to provide real-time occupancy information for more than 100 of their parking facilities in DC in a move seen to make Washington, D.C. a world leader in off-street smart parking.
Colonial Parking is the largest parking operator in the DC Metropolitan Area with over 220 parking facilities serving office buildings, retail malls, hotels, sporting events and hospitals while ParkMe, is the leading provider of real-time on-and-off street parking information based in Santa Monica, California.
Parking Recommendations By Location
ParkMe’s real-time parking information will allow each Colonial customer to personalize the parking experience by receiving recommendations based on the driver’s location, the type of vehicle, and duration of the driver’s stay. The real-time information will be available on both Colonial and ParkMe’s parking app, in addition to Colonial and ParkMe’s websites.

Solving DC’s Parking Issues

ParkMe and Colonial Parking are not done on this, the two firms are working on further service innovations in the coming months as a part of their expanding cooperation. At the moment, Colonial Parking’s ParkMe app allows the data from Colonial’s locations to be streamed to mobile phones, in-car navigation systems, GPS devices, and Colonial Parking’s website.

For drivers headed to DC, Pentagon City or Bethesda for a spring or summer break, the visit to the Smithsonian, Bethesda Row, Pentagon City Mall or The White House, will be a less daunting part of the journey and there is no such thing as looking for parking again, all they need is to download the ParkMe App and the the Colonial App.
