While on the exhibit floor at Web 2.0, one of the first useful companies that we ran into was Dixero, a company that provides vocalized feeds technology that is based in Switzerland. Dixero is a tool where you can convert your RSS feeds into audio. With this audio you can conveniently take it anywhere and listen to it on your MP3 player or iTunes. I got the opportunity to test out their service and found that it does a great job of translating text into speech. You can change the voice types (male or female) and create your own channels. Currently, the only language read is English. It would be nice if they offered their service in other languages. Dixero currently has two test channels for you to sample: Technology and Entertainment. Once you create an account, you can create your own personalized channels. The best thing about Dixero is that it’s free. An example of a competitor of  Dixero is a company called Odiogo, an Israel based company. Check out the 30 second elevator pitch from the Chief Strategist Officer, Luca Mascaro.
