Startup Waffles LA hosted by the Startup Digest folks at Santa Monica based co-working space Coloft was a hit this morning.  Held at 8am over 100 startups and entrepreneurs showed up to mingle and have breakfast served to them by none other then the CEO of Startup Digest himself Chris McCann.

Startup Waffles first started out in an apartment building in Palo Alto, where they were just expecting a few people to stop by and ended up having over 80 show up.  From those attendees there were 3 VC’s and some very well known media outlets.  Seeing the success of the first event McCann decided they should begin holding Startup Waffles meetups to help Startups/entrepreneurs connect in a new and interesting way.  Today, besides McCann serving up the waffles, Mark Suster of GRP Ventures had his hand in dishing out some of the goodness as well.

You can checkout the interview we did with Chris McCann below to find out more about Startup Waffles and Startup Digest.
