General Assembly LA | $2,000 Lights, Camera, Code Scholarship
Great news for aspiring hackers, programmers, and entrepreneurs. Startup enablers and Silicon Beach hubs General Assembly, Cross Campus, Launchpad LA, and LAVA have teamed up to provide five $2,000 scholarships to General Assembly’s 12 -week Web Development Immersive Program.
The program begins December 16, 2013 in Santa Monica and all entries for the scholarship must be in by December 6, 2013.
The Web Development Immersive‘s mission is simple and straightforward:
“Twelve weeks. All day. Everday.”
Through the rigorous and rewarding full time course, all students and program will gain the necessary skills to become a full stack developer.
- Build a work-ready skill set and fluency in full stack web development
- Develop a portfolio of projects individually and in small teams that are ready to present to employers
- Prepare for an internship or entry-level job as a jr. web developer
The program is application based and aimed at extremely motivated students who want to achieve their goals through a collaborative community. Whether it’s to become a technical product manager or a better freelancer, the program promises the ability to pretty much any web-based application you can imagine.
