Hacker Zazen | Achieving Code Enlightenment
On Monday, May 6th, 2013 hackers are invited to attend the first Hacker Zazen event. Presented by Codewars and Cross Campus, this monthly gathering has been organized to attract a mastermind of hackers to share ideas and write code.
Suitably named “Zazen,” the word is derived from an age-old meditative discipline performed to experience insight into the nature of existence and gain enlightenment. The gathering is focused to help hackers advance along the path towards achieving code enlightenment by sharpening skills on short challenges coined as Katas and collaborate on real projects called Missions.
Hacker Zazen will kick off with pizza and beer followed by a brief presentation for a few Missions. The main event mimics a mini-hackathon on the chosen Katas and hacking on Missions. Prizes will be awarded for the winner.
