TechCrunch 50 will be taking place September 14-15.  TechCrunch 50 has created a platform where early-stage, and frequently unfunded, companies could take center stage based purely on merit, without regard to their own financial resources.

Start-ups responded: we expanded our lineup from TechCrunch “20? to “40? launch companies. We created a DemoPit to expose another 100 early-stage companies to the public. We hosted over 900 attendees and, though admittedly rough around the edges in planning, we nailed the start-up content and energy that filled the hallways for two, jam-packed days.

DEMO Fall will be taking place September 21-23.  Opportunities abound to connect and interact with the DEMO audience on a more informal level throughout the show. Each DEMO is packed with a number of fun and rewarding networking events to help facilitate audience interactivity – including cocktail receptions every night; a CEO & Dealmakers dinner, where the CEO or founder from each presenting company and the investment community come together over dinner to discuss what the entrepreneurs have been working on; a rockin’ late night Jam Session and a special awards program.

CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment will be taking place October 7-9. No matter what your business is – healthcare, entertainment, fleet management or financial planning – wireless can transform how you do business. International CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment brings this possibility to life.

With a focus on applications, network architecture and technologies such as LBS, machine-to-machine and WiMAX (just to name a few), this international event brings a community of users, carriers, developers and manufacturers together to generate dialogue, share ideas and debate the economics of MOBILE BUSINESS.

BlogWorld

The 2008 BlogWorld & New Media Expo will take place October 15-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with the exclusive “Executive & Entrepreneur” conference beginning September 19th. The first and only industry-wide tradeshow, conference, and media event dedicated to promoting the dynamic industry of blogging and new media. In addition to the only industry-wide exhibition, BlogWorld features the largest blogging conference in the world including more than 50 seminars, panel discussions and keynotes from iconic personalities on the leading-edge of online technology and internet-savvy business. If you are currently blogging, vlogging, podcasting, producing other forms of new media content, entering the new media industry, or just want to know what the blogosphere is all about, then you need to be at the most comprehensive blogging convention–BlogWorld & New Media Expo.

L.A. Tech Week events are designed to inform those with an interest in technology – businesses that develop technologies and businesses that employ technologies, developers, entrepreneurs, investors, venture capitalists, teachers and students – about the state of the technology landscape in Los Angeles County.

The 140 character conference will be taking place October 27-28.  At the #140conf events, we look at twitter as a platform and as a language we speak. Over time it will neither be the only platform nor the only language. #140conf is not an event about  microblogging or the place where people share twitter “tips and techniques” but rather where we explore the effects of the real-time Internet on Business.
