SGN Launches Skies of Glory
TechZulu ran into Social Gaming Network CEO Shervin Pishevar at the LeWeb conference and got a first-hand glimpse of the new Skies of Glory game for the iPhone, available now in the App Store.
Currently at least one SGN game has been downloaded on a third of all iPhone and iPod Touch devices in existence. The company continues to impress with special effects and 3D graphics in Skies, an aerial combat game set in World War II.
The download itself is free, with optional in-game purchases for additional missions, better planes, etc.
Skies of Glory supports multiplayer game play for up to 8 opponents over 3G, WiFi or Bluetooth connections. You can even up the ethos in combat by adding your own soundtrack from songs stored on your device.
The game uses the iPhone’s accelerometer control to steer the plane; simply tilt the device in various directions to avert enemy fire. To go on the offensive, just tap the touchscreen to open fire. Check it out here:
