The third stop of the SummerMash US tour took place right here in our own backyards last week.  That’s right, SummerMash hit the Los Angeles tech scene last Friday night at the Rubicon Project’s Headquarters in West LA.  It was a busy week, full of events for the LA crowd, but SummerMash brought in over 600 people from the LA tech, entertainment, and digital communities ready to party.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a party without tech superstars making an appearance.  We caught up with Mashable’s very own Pete Cashmore and Karen Hartline.  When asked what stood out on the LA stop of the tour compared to other cities, Cashmore mentioned the ambiance of the venue and the glam of the city brought in by the media and entertainment industries.

Mashable also partnered with the Schwaggin Wagon to donate unused, unwanted schwag to a good cause.  All schwag and cash donations received at the event went to benefit Operation Gratitude.

Cashmore also mentioned they wanted to do this tour to connect with the emerging tech scenes across the nation.  Other stops on the tour include Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Miami, Boston, and NYC.
