There are many social networks out there, however, one local startup, Tools To Life, takes on a rather interesting approach to social networking. Tools To Life was started by Devlyn Steele, a Life Coach, and is a self improvement social network that centers on getting help from your circle of friends within the network. It’s a distinctive take when compared to other social networks, because while most social networks is all about the number of people you know and how that plays into your ego of popularity, Tools To Life takes the opposite approach. Tools To Life develops features focused on your goals and self improvement through interactive self-help programs. It does this by giving you the ability to list your goals and helping you track along through the completion of the goal. These goals can be shared with the community where you can get support and professional advice to achieving your goals (through the proper permissions of course).

Key Standout Features:

Support Groups – Start or join an existing support group.

Ask the Professionals – You can ask Devlyn Steele himself or any trained professional from the site.

Professional Programs – Offered by Devlyn Steele himself.

The site’s clean layout makes it very simple to navigate and less confusing on knowing what I need to do once logged on. The community approach on helping people is probably one of the major positives about the site. People on Tools To Life genuinely share their success stories and milestones. This is a very niche focused community and the strength of this site is from the founders being very involved and active with the community members through the coaching programs on the site.
