It’s a huge eco-system of automotive, tech, and regulations; and with anything industry-concept in nature, we understand that it’s tough to give concrete examples of projects in the pipeline.

You hear the words connected car and your imagination runs wild. Unmanned vehicles, flying transporters, hyperloop capsules, and automated cars, delivered at the touch of a button. It’s the future. It’s what the Jetsons promised us. But let’s be real we’re a long ways away. Luckily though, we are taking notable steps forward.

The non-profit, Code.org is partnering with Computer Science Education week to lead a massive effort to raise awareness around computer science education this December. Code.org is leading an event called ‘Hour of Code’ with an impressive goal of getting 10 Million students to learn to code (for at least one hour) during the week of December 9-15.

The gaming industry has changed since the days of Atari and Odyssey. Mobile and new generation consoles are being adopted at an astounding rate, and all the while gaming has become an increasing social outlet.

Hard to believe another Digital LA Silicon Beach Fest Hollywood is happening this week back-to-back with the new LA Tech Summit produced by Cornerstone. Time sure flies when you’re having fun, or building a startup. The theme for Silicon Beach Fest Hollywood is startups and Hollywood, featuring leaders from movie studios, music labels, agencies, and startups in entertainment – how Hollywood studios are investing and working with startups, and how Silicon Beach startups are making entertainment businesses.

Seemingly unrelated but they do sound good, don’t they? Something from a motivational panel, discussing Biz Dev strategies or maybe how to launch a lean start up. Rather, these were the words given in response to the opening question to a panel of product managers to “describe their occupation” in 3 words or less, + an additional word on what their biggest challenge was.

Many of us get that itch of becoming an entrepreneur. We get that spark in us, that light bulb idea that brings us into our dream world, day-dreaming and wondering, “What if?” What if we had a chance to actually build the next hot tech company? What if we find the right team with the right chemistry to build it? What if we get affirmation and validation from not only our peers, but from experts and maybe even potential investors that our ideas really have some legs in becoming something?
