The restaurant napkin, long the valuable scratch pad whose ideas often get lost in the laundry has gotten the ultimate upgrade. With Evernote, you can take a picture of a napkin or anything else you may wish to remember later. You can also record an audio note, enter some text or scribble a note on your phone. Now, when you need to recall the information, you can use any of your digital devices to find it using Evernote search.

This morning, I talked w/CEO Phil Libin of Evernote. Our conversation ranged from the “external brain” to how to keep your information private (answer: best practices). Phil issued an Evernote/Wii challenge for their upcoming API release for 3rd parties. We also looked into the far and near future with memory assist technology. Finally, Phil gives good advice on how to start a company.
