Fetchnotes Beta | Notes You’ll Actually Use
Everyday we take notes in someway or form. You may make a mental note of what you need to pick up from the store. When you’re sitting in class or meetings, you’re taking notes to further absorb and reference later. Or maybe you have an amazing idea for the next big thing. We use notes as a way of reminding ourselves of things. Granted paper and pencil work, but if you’re anything like myself or most people I know, you’ve got those kinds of notes everywhere. Fetchnotes looks to solve that problem. And their right on track to do so.
Earlier this month I was given the opportunity to get a sneak peak into the Fetchnotes beta and see what it was all about. Now I’ve used Evernote before and it has its advantages, but this simple notepad provided me with exactly what I need. So much that my yellow sticky note pad looked at me and walked away with a sad face.
It’s setup in such a way that makes it very simple and easy for anyone to create a note or even a list. They set you up with a few basic lists to get you started and stayed organized. When you create a note you’re able to add a hashtag at the end that will automatically place the note in the particular list or create the list if it doesn’t already exist. You’re even able send others messages with the “@” tag, bringing collaboration to a whole new level.
Fetchnotes founders, Alex Schiff and Chase Lee, did a great job building in features to allow those in any profession to easily use Fetchnotes with ease. For instance if you’re offline and happen to have that next big idea, you can text in your idea directly to your #ideas list. Along with the offline feature, you’ll soon be able to use Fetchnotes with variety of application and tools you’re already use – gApps, Evernote, Basecamp, etc.
Users have begun to see the value that the cloud-based startup holds as several companies, organizations and schools have begun contacting Fetchnotes about purchasing it for their members/employees.
