For all of you that’s always had ideas and never knew what to do with them, Startup Weekend is where you can make it happen! It’s a 54 hour frenzy, bringing together business people, developers and designers in one room to compete for awesome prizes! On Friday, September 28, University of Southern California is hosting Startup Weekend spearheaded by organizer, Kishan Patel. Anyone with ideas is welcome to pitch in front of a crowd and build a team.

Friday night is networking and pitch night. It’s highly recommended to start networking even before your pitches and start building your team or possibly consider joining others. All day Saturday, developers and designers will work on executing the vision while business developers conduct market validation, research and a business model. Sunday, the team will refine their presentation and pitch in front of a panel of judges who will deliberate and vote for the best new startup.

TechZulu is giving away a few tickets for technical people. Please leave a comment or tweet us @TechZulu #StartupWeekendUSC and tell us why you deserve the free ticket. This is a very competitive 3 day weekend! Come out and fight on like a Trojan. THIS IS STARTUP!!!!

I’m really excited to go to SWUSC this weekend! I’m a web/ui designer, and I’ve worked for a few startups to date. Love coming up with ideas and working with people

  • Too bad I missed this, it sounds like it would have been an excellent opportunity to network. I am involved in all types of mobile computing.  Let us know how it went.
