Hands On With Qualcomm’s FLO TV Personal Television
During CTIA FLO TV was one of those products getting a lot of attention. I must admit I was pretty excited to see it and get my hands on it until I did. FLO TV will be available through Verizon and AT&T at a $250 (way over priced for what your getting) price tag and a monthly subscription fee of about $9. Given that the screen resolution was no where near the quality of a Zune HD or even an iPod Touch that are similarly priced. The touchscreen is dead simple to navigate, Swipe up or down to go to the next channel, and there is a slim button on the right that will take you to the channel guide.
I guess if you want to give this to your 10 year old niece/nephew this might be a pretty awesome gift. Being able to see Sponge Bob Square Pants or The Backyardigans anywhere you want would be pretty sweet. That’s like being able to see Voltron/My Little Pony anywhere or anytime we wanted when we were young, how awesome would that have been!
