When developing a software, managing the project is often times overlooked by overzealous entrepreneurs. If the project is not managed well, most entrepreneurs will generally run into some issues that can be avoided. Some of these are poor tracking of projects and issues which will ultimately result in higher costs.

Meet Project Locker, a software project management company that provides entrepreneurs and small companies with enterprise level solutions for the most common issues of project management. I recently sat down with Damon Young, Director of Sales, for a one-on-one talk about what value Project Locker can bring to a company.

Whether Project Locker is the solution for you and your organization, that is something that you have to decide for yourself. From my own personal experience, managing a project is vital to the successful launch of my companies/products. Here’s a real life case story of mine. When I first started development for Campusbug, I had the project outsourced to an overseas company. I didn’t realize the importance of project management until the time came when I had to review the finished product. After a careful analysis, I found out that there was no proper documentation, no ownership of each project done, no consistent timelines and finally the product didn’t work! Needless to say I was pretty ticked. At that point, I decided to bring the project in-house and made sure I had the proper project management system. I think that’s what companies like Project Locker can provide, a more organized way of developing a project from conception to implementation.
