Qik Makes It To The iPhone App Store! (Livestreaming not included)
When Qik announced that it finally made it to the iPhone App store we all threw up our hands in glee! Until we find out the livestreaming capabilities we all know and love are missing and it only works over wifi. That’s like giving us a brand new gaming console without the power-cord WTF! But there is some good news, according to Qik:
“we’ve submitted an update to the App Store which will have it working over 3G networks, too. We’ll let you know as soon as that upgrade has been cleared. In the meantime, play with the wifi version and let us know what you think!”
So here is what you do get:
Upload videos from your iPhone’s Camera Roll
First, this version of Qik allows you to pull videos right from your iPhone 3GS Camera Roll and upload them to your Qik account. So if you’ve recorded videos with the iPhone 3GS native camera, you can share those via Qik, too.
Automatic uploading
Once you’ve stopped recording, your video upload begins automatically – without the hassle of pushing any more buttons or filling out any form fields.
Shoot video in portrait or landscape mode
Location sharing while uploading video
Lets hope Apple gets friendly with the concept of streaming via the iPhone and the Qik app can truly be the AWESOME!
