unnamedViddy, your favorite iOS App for sharing moments with your Social Network friends has come to Android devices today. With over 400 million registered users, Viddy has come to be known as the Instagram for videos. In addition to providing the option of changing color pallets, Viddy features options such as special effects and the ability to add sound clips. With so many people filming and sharing their fun mini-films on iOS devices, Android users were feeling left out of all the excitement. Today, Viddy solves that issue by being available to 757 different Android-Based devices.

Knowing that more than half of smartphone users are using Android devices, Viddy wanted in. The problem was developing and optimal solution to support a wide variety of hardware was and still is a wearying task. That is why, Brett O’Brien, co-founder and CEO of Viddy says that they are “the only company to overcome these challenges and bring to market an app that provides a great user experience.”

Instead of simply rehashing the iOS version of Viddy, their developers started over from the ground up. The end result created was an App that gives Android Videographers a great experience that is optimized for the Android environment.  Viddy also performs all of its processing in the background, so you can continue to watch videos, take calls, and even play games as Viddy does its work. It also takes advantage of newer Android devices’ HD cameras and 4G connections, presenting a crisp and beautiful picture to those you’ve chosen to share with.

Viddy can be downloaded for free from Google Play and is available in 16 languages. Whether you’re an iOS or Android user, this is an App you really can’t miss out on. If you haven’t tried it, download it now and get filming. Who knows, you could end up creating the next big indie flick without even planning on it.
