rhubarb studios Raises $1 Million in Financing to Accelerate Growth
rhubarb studios, the Los Angeles-based venture studio that helps entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life, announced that it raised $1 million in seed funding. This money will be used to further grow the studio and amplify resources for [build], rhubarb studios’ three-month immersive coaching program which takes startups from conception to series A.
“We built our venture studio using the same processes that we apply to design and grow all startups that go through our [build] program,” said rhubarb studios co-founder Cauri Jaye. “We look forward to expanding our community to support LA tech and using our successful method to build the next generation of 10x hardware and software companies.”
In just one year, rhubarb studios has grown from concept to a thriving venture studio with 150 members, 12 portfolio companies and has leveraged a number of high-profile partnerships – with organizations including General Assembly, the City of Los Angeles, and Hacker Fund. In addition to a creative, collaborative work environment, the studio offers members coaching in tech and entrepreneurship, access to resources needed to build a tech business, and subscription to its proprietary software, Syrup, that tracks progress for reporting to investors.
rhubarb studios is constantly recruiting engineers, UX designers and product managers to work on multidisciplinary teams creating innovative companies. “The brilliant people in these teams are key to our portfolio companies’ success,” said rhubarb studios co-founder Ryan Prust. “Teams are trained in design thinking to conceptualize a product, lean startup processes to build MVPs, and agile development to deliver product to users and iterate based on user driven feedback.”
