Gwabbit: Universal Contact List In The Cloud
Gwabbit did it again and took home yet another DEMOgod award with their new product the Gwab-o-Sphere. The Gwab-o-sphere is an “automatic contact cloud” according to CEO Todd Miller. What the service does is synchronizes the contacts you have across your phones and social networks and puts them in an easy to use contact database.
Storing all your contacts in the cloud with Gwab-o-sphere allows them to offer its users a backup of all their contacts in case they lose their mobile device. Taking the contact data its collects from your mobile device and pairs it with all known social contacts on networks like Salsforce.com, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. All you have to do is click on a social network tab and it brings up the contacts information within that network.
Another great feature Gwab-o-sphere is providing is the real-time sync function. Constantly running in the background, the real-time sync feature automatically detects changes of any contact then maintains the most current information.
TechZulu had a chance to catchup with Todd Miller during the DEMOspring 2010 conference. Todd gives a brief overview of the product as well as what he thinks about the general users comfort ability with the cloud.
