Love it or hate it, celebrity content drives traffic. Whether it’s the latest “celebutante” shenanigans a la Paris Hilton or a star’s fall from grace, people have an insatiable appetite for all things famous, and the Web offers the ultimate all-you-can eat menu.

Rather than wait for the weekly wrap-up of entertainment news in traditional print media, sites like TMZ.com have changed the rules of the game, offering up non-stop celebrity news, gossip and images in a way that makes Hollywood publicists cringe.

TechZulu recently caught up with TMZ.com Founder, Harvey Levin at the EconCeleb conference to talk about the Internet’s role in shaping celebrity news, where the barriers exist (if any), and the place where Web and TV content converge.
