Boxee is the first “social” media center. Boxee integrates personal and Internet media with social networking and then overlays it with an intuitive, remote-friendly interface. Through Boxee, you can listen to music on your hard drive or from Internet sites like Last.fm or Muxtape, watch a DVD you’ve ripped or a video from sites like Youtube, CollegeHumor, or BBC, and play a slideshow from your last trip or stream photos from Flickr.com or Picasa.  Boxee will even find DVD covers, album covers, subtitles, lyrics, and more automatically so you can browse your media visually.  In addition, Boxee lets you share information about what you’re watching or listening to with friends and even recommend things to them on Boxee or through social tools like Twitter, Facebook, and more.  Boxee lets you enjoy your media where you want – on your computer or your TV.
