If you have more then one twitter account and want to see some how much ROI you are getting from them, HootSuite might be something you may want to take a look at.  There are tons of applications that can help you monitor you twitter account but HootSuite is focused mainly on the power-user and corporate-user.  HootSuite brings a whole slew of features that can help explain what exactly twitter is doing for you or your customers.  I’m going to give you a brief walk through of some key features that HootSuite has to offer.

Profile and Columns

When you first login and have already setup your account you are greeted with a few key columns: Home Feed, Mentions, Direct Messages, Sent Messages.  You are able to add other columns as well such as: keyword search, pending tweets (get more into later), favorite tweets, and groups.  The image below gives you a general idea.

What Have You Done For Me Lately! (Statistics)

Knowing exactly what you push out to people is always a plus and HootSuite has you covered.  There are services available that can monitor links but going to another website and adding on to your browser tabs can become overwhelming.  Through HootSuite you can get a general stats readout and see how many clicks you have received from the URL’s placed in your tweets by day. Also, you are able to dig down deeper and look at specific URL’s and see the clicks from an individual tweet, where the clicks were coming from and also where the clicks too place (Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, etc).

The More The Merrier

Having more then one twitter account can become a bit crazy but with the ability to call for back-up is always a plus.  But if you are a lone wolf you can easily monitor each account and even tweet out to all at once or individually.  However, setting up users to tweet from specific twitter accounts is as easy as sending out an invite via email.

Pending Tweets

Tweeting while you are away from your computer or in a meeting can be difficult so why not just “Send Later”.  Giving you the ability to send delayed tweets can come in handy.  You can even do some experiments and look for the perfect time to send out tweets because not everyone is glued to their computers at all times of the day *wink-wink*

HootSuite currently does not have a user limit per account because they are in their beta. But I’m sure that will change soon enough.  They have a few more features but you can check them out for yourself. The ones covered here are ones I felt worth noting.  Overall HootSuite is a great twitter application and could be the best if they had a mobile version.  You are able to use your mobile browser to access Hootsuite but that version is really meant to be seen on a bigger screen.
