NeighborGoods Goes National!
Announced this morning, Los Angeles startup NeighborGoods.net is taking its sharing goodness all across the country. That right folks they are national now and will have neighbors all across America sharing, buying and selling items to each other in no time. We first interviewed Micki Krimmel Founder of NeighborGoods a few months after launch and already they had some amazing things brewing. For those who may not know about NeighborGoods, it’s an online community where you can save and earn money by sharing stuff with your friends. The way the economy is today everyone is always looking for a way to save a little dough where they can.
The amount of growth that has gone on at NeighborGoods has been a joy to watch. In less then a year they have already had over $750,000 worth of inventory added to site. With the new announcement they also did a re-design of the entire service. NeighborGoods has simplified the design with a personalized dashboard, made the process of adding items a bit easier and they have also improved the discovery of people and items near you. NeighborGoods has also improved their social connections buy automatically connecting you to Facebook, Twitter, and email accounts if you’d like. So if you don’t have many friends to borrow things from invite them over to NeighborGoods.
I’m definitely going to keep on eye on NeighborGoods and can’t wait to see where they are going from here. If you like the social networking functionality of Facebook and enjoy buying things off of Craigslist, I suggest you give NeighborGoods a try.
