Physically Diving Into The Azure Cloud

Everyone today is talking about cloud computing and putting everything in the cloud.  However, have you ever wondered what the cloud actually looks like?  Have you been able to touch?  Well we have thanks to the Microsoft PDC09 event, and now you get to as well (well see what it looks like, not actually touch it).  We step into the Microsoft’s Azure cloud and get a guided tour thanks to Frank Arrigo.

For those of you who don’t know what the Azure cloud is, it’s a set of cloud computing services that can be used to enable:

  • – Developers use existing skills and familiar tools to develop cloud applications
  • – ISVs and System Integrators rapidly reach market and pay as you go
  • – IT Managers gain access to a new set of resources without adding complexity
  • – Businesses of all sizes to quickly respond as business needs change
