Somrat has extensive background in cloud computing APIs, enterprise software, SaaS-based solutions from his experiences in sales, partner management, & consulting at Right90 and Salesforce.com.
Amanda and Somrat go over a few tech highlights of the week such as Amazon banning Wikileaks from their servers, Netflix to pay $100000 per episode to play in-season TV shows, Google Chrome OS not making their holiday target release, Foursquare’s deal to create a TV series, and NASA’s huge press conference on finding alien life!
In this TechZulu Highlight Somrat goes over the beginnings of Miso and how they are striving to be the ultimate TV companion. Somrat and Amanda discuss how the check-in craze is just a feature and how Miso is working on delivering true value to the consumer. They also discuss if the gaming mechanisms are enough to keep consumers interested or is there something more that could be delivered? With all the connected devices (AppleTV, Roku, etc.) and now GoogleTV coming into play there is going to be huge innovation happening in the social TV space.
