With over 150,000 people drawn to Austin in this year’s SXSW only one was crowned as one of the most photographed woman in the festival. Nope it wasn’t selfie queen Kim K. West, it wasn’t even the first lady, Michelle Obama, who graced the stage as a keynote speaker, actually it wasn’t even a human being. The title goes to Sophia, the beautiful and brilliant humanoid robot created by Hanson Robotics.
This year marked the 10th anniversary of the annual Clinton Global Initiative founded by former president, Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. The event, held in New York City, gathered in a plethora of world leaders, corporate executives and philanthropists. This year’s theme is “Re-imagining Impact,” which Hillary Clinton suggests, “requires leaders who will re-imagine and who will be unafraid to do so and ask themselves, beginning with themselves, hard questions. “
A Futurist Conference, AI & The Singularity will be held this Saturday, September 20, from 9:30am-5:00pm at Piedmont Veterans Hall, 401 Highland Avenue, in Piedmont, California. The event is co-produced by Peter Voss of AGI Innovation Inc., Anya Petrova of FuturismX and Hank Pellissier of Brighter Brains Institute.

The 17th Annual Milken Institute Global Conference wrapped up last month at the luxurious Beverly Hilton Hotel. The event was surreal in that everywhere you turned, you would’ve recognized a person with the influence, power, and motivation to have a big impact on improving the lives of those in need.

SoCal Code Camp is at it again, getting together an amazing pool of experts to speak in front of fellow developers and developers-in-training here in Los Angeles. The event runs for two days from November 9th to 10th on the USC campus. This fun conference will have over 85 sessions on various technologies including Web Development, Mobile, Ruby , Javascript and more. And it’s not just strictly coding, they will also have a few sessions dedicated to Design and even Project Management.
