Why would we want to remove items from the “ok glass” menu? We want users to ‘live’ exclusively in our applications to avoid unwarranted actions such as taking a picture, recording a video, or placing an accidental call. For our company, Pristine, Glass is an enterprise appliance, not a personal device. Glass needs to be completely locked down and Google-free to protect the privacy of patients and respect the policies of the hospitals we serve.
Last Monday, Jan 6th, marked the culmination of AT&T’s Developer Summit at CES 2014 along with the release of open APIs for its U-Verse platform on Android. Now developers can build Android apps with AT&T Labs and AT&T Foundry to let customers better interact with their televisions from a smartphone, tablet or other such mobile devices.
You hear the words connected car and your imagination runs wild. Unmanned vehicles, flying transporters, hyperloop capsules, and automated cars, delivered at the touch of a button. It’s the future. It’s what the Jetsons promised us. But let’s be real we’re a long ways away. Luckily though, we are taking notable steps forward.
We’ve been there. Turn on your phone and look at the productivity folder. Three, maybe four apps; each with their own learning curve and rules of engagement. Something to write your notes, another to set reminders, and one that does both. But you know, with a social aspect and extra cute buttons. Kind of like a disarrayed choose your own adventure book about your life.
Okay I’m exaggerating, but if you’re still with me, I feel your pain; of not knowing what keyword to search your inbox for to find your favorite cat video. But luckily, there’s others who feel your pain and they’re trying to solve it. Introducing Fetchnotes.

Seemingly unrelated but they do sound good, don’t they? Something from a motivational panel, discussing Biz Dev strategies or maybe how to launch a lean start up. Rather, these were the words given in response to the opening question to a panel of product managers to “describe their occupation” in 3 words or less, + an additional word on what their biggest challenge was.
Commerce and trade are fundamentally based on exchanging asymmetries in one another’s ability to produce value at a given cost. As such, commerce intrinsically creates mutual value. That’s why it works. Moreover, the option to trade with more parties creates more value by fostering larger volumes of and more competitive trading.
SoCal Code Camp is at it again, getting together an amazing pool of experts to speak in front of fellow developers and developers-in-training here in Los Angeles. The event runs for two days from November 9th to 10th on the USC campus. This fun conference will have over 85 sessions on various technologies including Web Development, Mobile, Ruby , Javascript and more. And it’s not just strictly coding, they will also have a few sessions dedicated to Design and even Project Management.
