I’ve found this StubmbleUpon Ads Vs. Adwords test done by Lee Rowley of bloggersworkshop.
Mini-test 1: StumbleUpon Ads vs. Adwords
This is truly a very small test – you know I don’t like throwing money at PPC when I can build organic traffic (albeit more slowly), so I kept my expenditures to a minimum.
I loaded $20 into a SUA campaign promoting 6FBS (which has since been migrated here) in the “ecommerce” category. I then set up a $20 Adwords campaign targeting the keyword “make money blogging”.
Here are the results:
StumbleUpon Ads
- Cost: $20
- Visitors: 400
- Cost Per Click: $0.05
- New RSS Subscribers: 47
- New Newsletter Subscribers: 16
Adwords
- Cost: $20
- Visitors: 52
- Cost Per Click: $0.38
- New RSS Subscribers: 21
- New Newsletter Subscribers: 11
