TuneWiki: A TechKaraoke Dream Come True
For those in the Tech-Karaoke scene begin download now! TuneWiki is a social media player that allows you to play and view lyrics from your own music library, listen to internet radio powered by SHOUTcast radio, find and sing-a-long with your favorite video on youtube, and even see what other people in your area are listening too. Previously TuneWiki was only available on the iPhone, Android, and Blackberry, what they were announcing at DEMOfall 2009 was their support for Symbian phones. So now there is no reason why you can’t at least try it out.
I’ve had TuneWiki on my iPhone for a while now and during DEMO Jam session I had the opportunity to try TuneWiki live on stage. I got about half way through the song and it did crap out on me, but I was told that there was a new version/update (which there was) that fixed the crashing. The TuneWiki guys were right on top of it as soon as they heard about my little incident (awesome points).
So if you are into karaoke and have tons of music on your phone I would suggest at least giving it a try. The lyrics scrolling is surprisingly in tune with the songs and almost every song in my library the application was able to find lyrics to.
