It doesn’t seem too long ago that the closest you could get to wearable tech was a Casio calculator watch. Since the advent of devices like the Fitbit and the Apple Watch, though, most of us have started sporting upgraded wrist wear that does more than tell time–these wearables count our steps, monitor your sleep patterns, and keep us connected to the digital world 24/7.

Driving while distracted is dangerous and has been an issue since the Secretary of Transportation made it his mission to put a stop to this very dangerous behavior. There are currently 39 states, plus the District of Columbia that have a ban on texting while driving. An additional 10 states plus Washington DC ban handheld cell use while driving. Distracted driving has been attributed with causing over 3,000 deaths in 2010 alone.

In the past few years, the pace of global automation of industry processes has been increasing at a historically high rate. The remarkable rise in the demand for industrial robots has caused a double-digit in global sales of these valuable machines. The demand for factory robots has grown drastically not only in some countries but across the world.

Business is one of the most dynamic career areas to be involved with. There are always new concepts like market automation coming out and changing the current paradigm. Marketing automation is the notion that you can and will leverage the power of your computing systems in order to set your website and other online properties up to automatically respond or analyze a marketing promotion or a sales contact.

Apple and Google both want in on the connected car market, but current automotive industry leaders are leery about giving them a share of the existing pie. Both companies have been promoting autonomous driving technology for over two years.

While a lot of industries in the tech field seem to be slowing down (see smartphones and tablets for a good example), there is one industry that seems to just be getting started. Home automation. It may seem strange that while we have had iPhones in our pockets for almost 10 years now, we are just now getting around to building in similar technologies in our homes.

As these cars become increasingly more innovative and connected, companies and organization should keep a number of things in mind. Such items would include privacy, customer considerations, value versus mass, and innovative customer experiences. These four driving forces are truly integral to product development and company innovation.

The emergence of new technology has put home automation front and center of any homeowner’s future plans. Things such as home security systems have been around for some time now—cameras and alarms used to make suburban homes more secure.

The U.S. was a country made and designed for cars. The farther cities spread out from each other, the bigger and stronger cars were designed. With the rapid progression of self-driving automobile technology from manufacturers such as Tesla and Google, the automobile insurance industry is preparing itself for wide-ranging changes that will disrupt almost every aspect of its business model.
