As the Baby Boomer generation continues to age, more and more families are going through untold troubles trying to find, hire and manage in-home care for their seniors. To battle the problem HomeHero, a new startup backed by Science Inc., has unveiled a new smartphone app designed to help people find, hire and manage in-home care for seniors.

Today, the Walt Disney Company & Techstars announce their plans to select ten startup companies for a three-month mentorship and seed-stage investment program. The LA-based program is powered by Techstars and focused on “technology-based companies focused on trnasformative media and entertainment experiences.” Applications are being accepted starting today, through April 16, 2014 for early-stage companies with innovative consumer media and entertainment product ideas. Herjavec, a shark on ABC’s popular show “Shark Tank,” is the CEO of Herjavec Group, an author of two books, and now a Hollywood star.
